An Illustration for Ernest Hemingway's, The Old Man in the Sea. It's and Idea I have had sketched for a while and finally took the time to finish it.
Working in photoshop CS3 I sketched in the drawing and ended up using the sketch in the final piece, then I built up the waves and added the colors. I had fun creating new brushes for the water texture. I hope you like it, critques welcome and appreciated.
